Using The Battery Guy to test and replace our golf car batteries was the best decision I could have made. We had initially planned to remove the batteries, go to Costco (or somewhere), load them in a cart, and get what was needed. Then, go home and install it ourselves. That is a LOT of heavy lifting and hoping we did it right. Enter The Battery Guy. Online scheduling was simple. They arrived in the scheduled window and Edgar was very professional, informative, and pleasant to work with. The only heavy lifting I had to do was with my credit card, and it was the same price it would have been with us doing the work. I also learned how to charge the batteries correctly and was given other helpful tips on keeping the car in good condition. I will call The Battery Guy again when needed, and I am letting others in our 55+ park use The Battery Guy.
I had been referred to The Battery Guy to help with golf cart issues of all kinds. Joe came to my home and did a basic maintenance job -- check and fill batteries, check and bring tires to proper psi, etc. I pointed out that I had lost a rubber connector that held my windshield in place. The basic maintenance was $99. When Joe left he said he would return in a week or two to replace my small rubber part. He also reported, on my receipt, that one of my turns signals didn't work -- but he didn't tell me about that while at my home. Three weeks passed and no sign of Joe. I texted Gayle (owner) and asked when to expect Joe. Never heard anything. I pursued Gayle several times. I finally got ahold of him and he said they were just too busy to respond. He then called and left me a message to call him back. Never have heard another word in months. I have concluded that they are really only good for a quick $99 checkup. I will never do business with them again or recommend them to any of my friends. This appears to be a sideline activity for them and their customer service is non existent! Got all of my problems solved with another provider who has excellent customer service and communication plus full service capabilities.
Our church has a lift and needed 4, 6-bolt batteries. They are expensive. Not only did he have the right ones at a cheaper price, but he installed them, helped us with cables, and made sure everything was right before he left. What amazing service - with a warranty even. We are sold. He has our business from now on. Fantastic! Thank you from the First Southern Baptist Church of Tucson.
