No offense to the owners, operators, or the people who work here, but this is flat out the worst golf course I've ever played in the northeast. I paid 87 to play here. Worth maybe 28... I feel insulted and robbed. Shame too because it's a fun layout. The course is in an utter state of disrepair. Highway robbery what they charge. Beware.
Wish I could give a zero star review. Horribly maintained, focused on overbooking and not putting any effort into maintaining. No ranger, 4+ hours for 9 holes. Staff is very racist and sexist. No ability to get drinks water or food. 9th hole doesn’t even end near the pro shop. Tee boxes are literally just dirt. Very pathetic course. They maintain the first hole strictly for optics. Upset I wasted a day here
Played October 12th, 2023 Nice track, a great scoring opportunity for better golfers and a relatively easy place to get better at the game. Forest Park is your average city course. At just over 6,000yds from the back tees, it is shorter in length than what you find at a normal course. A major issue which appears to be *finally* being addressed is the tee boxes. On many holes, it has literally been dirt for many years. However, beautiful looking tees with fresh sod are just a few weeks away from being ready to play! The greens were not exactly in the best condition they could be. They were not blown or rolled on this visit, so they were rather slow and bumps seemed to be normal. If you play a lot of rolled greens, they are painfully slow. Pace of Play was reasonable. About a 4 hour 15 minute round. Weekend times are known to get out of hand, so just beware. For $52 plus a $40 cart (split two ways), it is an okay price if you don’t want to travel far to play.
