My family spent the weekend on South Padre Island. We don't get the chance to see each other very often so we wanted to make this a trip to remember. The staff was super friendly and my aunt, grandmother, and I loved the golf carts! Next time we want to try the paddle boarding. Very cool place!
Although I went during the cold weather it was still a pretty good adventure with my partner. Renting the golf cart in the cold is an experience by itself. I recommend going to the beach and playing in the sand, who cares if you are an adult. The restaurants aren't that special. SPI is only special for the memories you make there.
Their golf carts are not maintained well. Ours wouldn’t start after a while. They replaced it, and the second one also konked out! They wouldn’t give us a refund. We got the golf cart and ended up just driving on the island anyways..
