FIAT set the U.S. price of the 2026 Topolino at $13,995 before destination. Golf Cart Search compared that figure with published starting prices for 26 two-seat electric low-speed vehicles. The median is $13,999, putting the Topolino $4 below it.

The required $990 destination charge raises the starting total to $14,985 before taxes and dealer fees, according to Car and Driver. Road use comes later. The current U.S. model is limited to 19 mph, and FIAT lists its dealer-installed Street Legal Conversion Kit for fall 2026.

How the FIAT Topolino price compares

We analyzed Golf Cart Search model data current on August 16, 2026. A model entered the comparison when its specifications listed all four of these items:

  • an electric powertrain;
  • seating for two or one to two people;
  • a 25 mph or LSV configuration;
  • and a numeric starting price.

The filter produced 26 models.

Lowest published starting price$6,695
Highest published starting price$18,740

Several models sit close to the Topolino's MSRP:

ModelPublished starting priceListed speed
Atlas 2 Passenger$13,15925 mph
FIAT Topolino$13,99519 mph; 25 mph with kit
ICON EPIC E20$13,99925 mph
Pilotcar PC-2 SL$13,99925 mph
Venom EV Strike 2$13,99919 or 25 mph
GEM e2$15,24025 mph

This comparison uses catalog prices, not transaction data. It is not weighted by sales volume, and separate trims or work versions count as separate models. Starting prices can also omit destination charges, batteries, dealer fees, or the cost of an LSV package. FIAT excludes destination from its MSRP but says its conversion kit will be provided at no additional cost.

Is the FIAT Topolino expensive for an LSV?

The Topolino is priced in the middle of our two-seat electric LSV set. Basic two-seat golf carts can cost much less, especially when they do not include a factory 25 mph configuration. Models marketed for road use cluster closer to the Topolino's price.

The comparison does not measure build quality, dealer support, warranty coverage, or resale value. It only establishes where the published price sits. Buyers comparing the Topolino with a conventional cart should use the complete delivered quote and verify whether the competing cart's LSV equipment is standard or an extra-cost package. Is the 2026 FIAT Topolino street legal?

A U.S. Topolino without the conversion kit is not a federally defined LSV. Its current 19 mph maximum speed falls below the federal LSV range, which starts above 20 mph and ends at 25 mph.

FIAT's current product page says the no-cost kit adds a rearview mirror, backup camera, and pedestrian alert system while raising the maximum speed to 25 mph. The FIAT Live Store describes it as dealer-installed and expected in fall 2026.

The timing differs from Stellantis' July 7 launch announcement, which said owners would be able to install the kit by the end of summer. FIAT has not published an exact availability date, so this article uses the fall estimate on its current product and ordering pages.

Federal compliance still does not grant access to every public road. NHTSA states that states control registration and operating conditions for LSVs. State and local rules can require a title, registration, insurance, a driver's license, and specific road-speed limits.

Before using a converted Topolino on public roads, confirm:

  1. the dealer installed the approved kit;
  2. the completed vehicle has the required certification label and paperwork;
  3. the vehicle is titled, registered, and insured where required;
  4. the driver meets state and local license rules;
  5. the planned roads allow LSVs.

Use the state golf cart and LSV law directory as a starting point, then verify the route with the DMV and local road authority.

Why this launch matters to the golf cart industry

Stellantis describes the Topolino as its first entry into the U.S. micromobility segment. Its price places an automotive brand directly beside established golf cart and LSV manufacturers, while its body and dimensions offer a different format from most open carts.

FIAT has not published the exact kit release date, the paperwork process after installation, or an import target beyond saying that 2026 quantities are limited. Those details will determine when buyers can register the first converted vehicles and how widely dealers can stock them.
