Brigham City, Utah is seeking 75 new electric golf carts for Eagle Mountain Golf Course, with 75 existing electric Club Car Tempos included as trade-ins. The city posted its public bid notice on October 22, 2026. Bids are due November 12. Sealed submissions go to the city recorder at 20 North Main Street, where the bids will be opened in the council chambers.
Golf Cart Search reviewed the complete five-page packet. It specifies a six-battery, 48-volt configuration and requires bidders to state alternatives. Its pricing form separates new-cart prices, options and used-cart credits. Those details matter when comparing a replacement proposal with a quoted price for new vehicles alone.
What batteries does the Brigham City golf cart bid specify?
The battery row lists six 8-volt Trojan batteries and a 48-volt C.S.A.-certified charger, followed by “or other as specified.” Six times eight gives the stated 48-volt configuration. The table has yes/no compliance columns and a separate space for an alternative if the answer is no.
The bidder instructions also describe the specifications as nonrestrictive and require specific exceptions to be noted. This creates a way to describe a different proposal. It does not establish that a particular lithium system, cart brand or model has been approved. The packet names the outgoing Tempos but identifies no selected replacement manufacturer.
The size limits are also specific: 91 to 94.5 inches long, 47 to 48 inches wide and 68 to 71 inches high with a canopy. Speed must be programmable in forward and reverse, but the table gives no numerical top-speed requirement. A bidder comparing models needs to check those individual rows as well as the power source.
The battery warranty row asks for four years, with conditions referring to 1,000 rounds, 36 holes and 25,000 amp hours. Alongside it, the form asks the bidder to specify the battery type and exact warranty. Bidders must also supply a copy of the actual equipment warranty. These are requested terms, rather than evidence that a manufacturer has agreed to provide them.
For readers comparing battery systems outside this procurement, our golf cart battery guide explains the different configurations and replacement costs.
How do the 75 Tempo trade-ins affect the price?
The last page requests three per-cart amounts, each multiplied by 75: the new-cart bid, options and the used-cart trade-in. The trade-in line is deducted before the net total.
That structure pairs 75 replacements with 75 outgoing carts. The form leaves every dollar field blank, so it supplies no purchase total, trade-in allowance or resale price.
Our trade-in versus private-sale guide explains why a dealer credit and a retail asking price measure different transactions. The Tempo comparison covers the model family; the city packet does not state the outgoing carts’ model years, battery condition or operating hours.
When would Eagle Mountain receive the new carts?
The course prefers delivery at the end of February 2027, while allowing an adjusted or earlier date to help the bidding process. Vendors must enter an expected delivery date based on factory projections and provide production or shipping documentation as the order progresses.
The October 20 packet requires new, current-year models, descriptive specifications and equipment manuals. It says price is the primary award consideration, alongside customer service, warranty, specifications, future parts costs and customer preference. The city is not bound to accept the lowest bid and may reject all bids.
The November 12 opening therefore does not promise a same-day purchase decision. The documents allow a possible 30-day waiting period before award. As reviewed on October 25, this is a solicitation with a preferred delivery window; the cited records establish no winning vendor, signed price or completed delivery.
