Identify an E-Z-GO from its manufacturer identification labels and matching manual before ordering parts. A body photograph or seller's claimed year is a starting point; neither establishes the installed battery, controller, roof or chassis configuration.
Model years that the manufacturer documents
The following are verified manual or model-page coverage, not complete production start/end dates for each name:

For Marathon, Medalist or an unreadable older label, ask E-Z-GO or a dealer to identify the complete serial/code; do not buy from a broad era chart alone.

Where to find a label
E-Z-GO's customer-care FAQ says models purchased before 2023 may have a barcode/serial next to the steering column or below the driver's seat, depending on model.
For the specific 2024–current RXV ELiTE manual above, the locations are the lower right dash wall, driver-side frame beneath the front splash shield, and two labels on the passenger-side rear frame rail. Its PIN is on the passenger-side frame below the front splash shield. The manufacturer requires serial/PIN and manufacture date for correct component ordering. This diagram applies to the covered RXV models, not every older RXV or TXT.
Record every readable label before requesting identification. If accessing a label requires lifting or dismantling, use the exact service instructions or have a dealer do it.
A real decoding question, and what remains unconfirmed
On June 17, 2025, Accomplished_Wait164 reported receiving a seller's photo showing serial 926860 and manufacturer code B2196. They had received an AI answer assigning conflicting 2009 and 2011 years. A commenter, 4539MF, interpreted B2196 as 1996. Read the original buyer question and reply.
That reply is not manufacturer authentication, and the post does not document a completed purchase or matched parts order. Keep the complete code and seek manufacturer confirmation rather than treating an unverified automated decoder as proof.
What our dated listing sample can tell you
We counted seller-advertised model/year combinations in the August 4, 2026 GolfCartResource used-listing snapshot collected for our Buyer's Toolkit. Exact make E-Z-GO, a recorded year, asking price of $1,000–$30,000, and a case-insensitive model name containing TXT or RXV were required. Duplicate listing URLs were collapsed, retaining the last record.

Across all recorded years, the filtered sample contained 113 TXT-name and 248 RXV-name listings. One TXT-name listing was advertised as 1994. We have not authenticated that year or chassis; a seller's label cannot establish a production boundary. These are dealer advertisements, not a census, completed sales, or a verified manufacturing history. The sample also does not establish used values by condition.
Before ordering a part
Provide the supplier with the complete model/serial/PIN and date labels, installed battery chemistry and voltage, controller/charger identifiers and mounting measurements relevant to the part. Converted carts require identification of the equipment actually installed. A TXT, RXV or Valor keyword in an accessory title does not establish fit.

Windshield for a 1995–2013 TXT with 0.75-inch roof struts
The ZivPlay fold-down windshield is listed for 1995–2013 TXT and Medalist models with 0.75 × 0.75-inch roof struts. It excludes 2014-and-newer TXT models and 1 × 1-inch struts. Measure the actual supports and compare the mounting hardware, especially if the cart has a replacement roof or body. The model-year label alone is not enough.

The current listing names lead-acid, AGM and LiFePO4/lithium support; confirm the supplied charger's exact generation, battery-approved profile and 18A current before ordering. A lithium conversion needs the pack supplier's approval rather than a match on the TXT name.
